Central Market Visibility Project Finalists

In order to improve the visiblity of the Lancaster Central Market to visitors and patrons, the City of Lancaster put out a Request for Qualifications for artists to design public art pieces to direct patrons to the market building. After choosing three finalists, their proposals are in and we're asking for your feedback. Proposals can be viewed below.

Lancaster's Gateway Cistern Project Finalists

A few months ago, a Request for Qualifications was issued, seeking qualifications from artists, artisans and designers to develop public artwork as part of a city-wide green infrastructure program. The submissions were narrowed down to three finalists, Austin+Mergold, Matthew Geller, and Pied Piper. Now, their proposals are in and we're asking for your feedback. Proposals can be viewed below, and we ask that you share your thoughts through this poll on Facebook.

PCAD's Public Art Resource Project
The Pennyslvania College of Art and Design developed the Public Art Resource Project in response to the City of Lancaster's Strategic Plan to provide "the ideal urban experience for our residents and visitors" and led the effort to develop a Public Art Action Plan for the City.

A poetry and public art project produced by the Philadelphia Alumni Writers House at Franklin & Marshall College with support from the City of Lancaster's Office of Public Works.
